Do you feel condemned?
Jesus met a samaritan woman at a well, she had a history and a present life that wasnt so good. She had 5 ex husbands, and was at the moment of meeting Jesus, living with a man who was not her husband.
There was also a woman who had just committed adultery, she was brought before Jesus.
But our Lords reaction to both instances were kind of unique. He never said how bad they were, he never looked at these women as dirty, filthy (As many church people would do today), he was concerned about ensuring these women were right with God.
Look, God is not interested in you feeling guilty or depressed over a sin or a lifestyle you lived, he cannot really use that for much, God is much more concerned with you getting right with him and turning away from a life of sinfulness.
So my friend, if you feel condemned by your heart for something, it is a mechanism to bring you to repentance, it is not God who condemns you, your heart does. Romans 8:1 says "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus". Whatever makes you feel like avoiding God isnt God himself casting you away.
So here it the word of Jesus to you who feels condemned (John 8:11) “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” stop feeling cast away, just repent.
Much Love
